This program is conducted to develop the knowledge, attitude and skills related to the achievement of the purpose of the clerical life of the monks scattered all over Sri Lanka.
The first training program was successfully conducted on 11th and 12th March 2022 at Silmatha Training Institute, Eriyawetiya, Kelaniya. During this training program, several special topics such as teacher-student relationship, management of Silmatha monasteries, identification of the clerical attitudes and Sasana practices required to achieve the priestly life, gaining an understanding of Silmatha discipline, and leading an exemplary Silmatha life were discussed

Seven Tripitaka books translated by the Compilation Tripitaka Compilation Board under the auspices of the Department of Buddhist Affairs were released at Temple Trees yesterday (24).
Appointed as an extension of the Buddha Jayanthi Tripitaka Board, the Tripitaka Compilation Compilation Board has been carrying out the task of translating this Tripitaka bibliography for several years without repetition, without damaging or distorting the basic language of the Buddha.

National Program for Training of New Upasampada Monks
The second phase of the “Kusalassa Upasampada” National Upasampada Monks Training Program organized jointly by the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs and the Department of Buddhist Affairs was held from 06.02.2022 to 13.12.2022 at Devram Maha Viharaya, Pannipitiya.
Under this training, the new Upasampada monks will be taught the Upasampada and the Satara Parajika, lay clergy affiliation, purification from pratimoksha disciplines and sanghadisesa disasters, vows and Katina Chivara Pooja, Uposatha karma, study of Sutta Dhamma, temples Under this training, the new Upasambada monks will be taught the Upasambada and Satara Barajika, the clergy, the purification from pratimotsam and sangadisesha, the vows and hard Sivara puja, the uposatha karma, the Sutta Dhamma study, the temples.

The second phase of the 'Kusalassa Upasampada' National Training Program for Novice and Upasampada Monks, organized jointly by the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs and the Department of Buddhist Affairs, commenced on 06.02.2022.
Held at Pannipitiya Devram Maha Viharaya from 06.02.2022 to 13.12.2022.
Under this 7-day training, the Upasampada of the new Upasampada monks and the Satara Parajika, lay clergy affiliation, Pratimoksha Shiksha and Sanghadisesa cleansing from disasters, Vows and Katina Chivara Pooja, Uposatha Karma, Study of Sutras, Awareness on Temples and Shrines Act, Special topics such as temple tours and temple management, media usage and communication techniques, poetry and stanza training, sermon training, disciplined chiwara and bowl preparation, weekly meditation are discussed. This training program is a residential program with lectures and discussions conducted by the Lord on behalf of the denomination

The All Night Pirithrana Dhamma Sermon was held on 02.02.2022 at Independence House, Colombo 07. This year's event was held under the patronage of the Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangalabhidhana Nayaka Thero of the Malwathu Vihara Chapter of the Swayamopali Maha Nikaya. It was guided by Dr. Kirinde Assaji Thero, Chief Incumbent of Hunupitiya Gangarama, Colombo 02.
Heel Alms Giving Ceremony was held on 03.02.2022 at Hunupitiya Gangarama Temple, Colombo 02.
