The new Sangamittarama Silmatha Training Institute in Anuradhapura was established in 1991 with the objective of uplifting Silmatha education and is being maintained as a Silmatha Faculty of Education.

Through this faculty, Pali Abhidharma offers the opportunity to stay and study in English and Meditation subjects from a distance for aspiring monks.
